The Science Behind WeBe
Background
WeBe’s technology enabled platform is designed to support mental health and well being using evidence-based, holistic approaches.
WeBe’s single score rating (“How’s Your WeBe?”) provides a snapshot of how individuals experience their well being as they begin to use the platform and periodically thereafter. The “WeBe” score is used to provide feedback to users – to reinforce positive behaviors and to suggest resources and tools that may be helpful. Aggregate data helps partner organizations understand the overall well being of the population they support over time.
WeBe also asks users to rank and rate 6 key elements of well being (Emotional Experience, Relationships, Physical Health, Sleep, Activity, and Spirituality). Users receive real-time and historical feedback to improve their understanding of how these specific factors affect their well being. Aggregate information helps partner organizations better understand how specific elements affect the population they support. This information can be helpful in identifying effective resources and developing new programs.
WeBe provides three other key opportunities that facilitate well being and support mental health including social connectivity, peer support, and complementary care. Data from the utilization of these opportunities provides additional key information for users and organizations.
Supporting evidence for the WeBe components can be found in the WeBe Science menu above.
